Nestle recalls its chocolate chip cookie dough product nationwide after it was discovered that the plastic pieces were missing

Nestle USA announced last Wednesday that it would recall its ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestle Toll House Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough With Fudge Filling products due to possible white plastic pieces.

The affected products were manufactured between June and September and distributed in the continental U.S.A. and Puerto Rico. Other Nestle Toll House products were not affected.

The recall statement stated that “while no injuries or illnesses have been reported, Nestle USA immediately took immediate action out of an abundance and caution after a small group of consumers contacted Nestle USA regarding this issue.”

The company advised that consumers should not prepare or eat the product and should return it to the seller where it was purchased for a refund or replacement.
