Actors everywhere are expressing their interest in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming remake of American Psycho, based on the novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis. Patrick Schwarzenegger, who recently starred in the third season of White Lotus, posted that he would “love nothing more” than to take on the role of Patrick Bateman. There have also been whispers that Austin Butler (Elvis) might be up for the role, but the film’s casting director, Kerry Barden, suggested Butler might be better as the character Paul Allen. Meanwhile, Chloë Sevigny, who played Patrick Bateman’s secretary in the original 2000 movie adaptation, has said she’d love to reprise her role. However, Guadagnino told her he would “think of something else” for her. Casting for the film is currently underway, so we’ll just have to wait and see!
